Nestled in the woods between Texas and Louisiana. This 185,000 acre Lake Fed by the Sabine River and thousands of tributaries. This large lake straddles the borders of Texas and Louisiana. The dam and generating complex is in Newton County, Texas. and Sabine Parish, La. with two hydroelectric power generators boast a generating capacity of 92,000 kilowatts with the estimated annual energy output is 205 million kilowatts hours.

From the dam, the lake extends north up river for about 75 miles and has approximately 1,260 miles of shoreline, is 15 miles across at it widest point.
With an abundance of trophy bass and a population of over 300lbs. of game fish per acre, Toledo Bend Lake constantly proves to be one of  the best fishing lakes in the country.
 Numerous first-class marinas offer accommodations and professional guides. Many public facilities for swimming, boating, picnicking, fishing, camping, hunting and sightseeing.
The area surrounding Toledo Bend Reservoir is home to many species of birds  pelicans, egrets, cranes, bald eagles, ducks and a host of migrating birds. Other wildlife in the area include white tail deer, fox, armadillo, wild turkey.
 Toledo Bend fish species include, black bass, white bass, stripers, Florida bass, crappie, catfish and bream .
